Description
A splendid antique five-tiered chandelier in its original silver plate, dating c. 1910 and found in a home in Maryland. This three-light “wedding cake” chandelier begins with a canopy ornamented with a band of stylized leaves before coming down in chain to connect to a decorative loop finial. The finial sits atop the slightly domed and silver plated roof of the chandelier body; the roof is encircled with a coordinating foliate design. Below, the chandelier supports five tiers of sparkling “icicle” prisms, and is finished with a faceted crystal ball. This chandelier has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body is approx. 14-1/4” wide and approx. 24-1/4” long; the fixture is approx. 40-1/2” long overall.
