An amazing complete working thumb-latch set for an exterior door in Russwin’s “Newton” pattern, dating from the 1920s, and salvaged from a home in Ohio. The door hardware set consists of a large exterior handle with a thumb latch, an understated brass door knob, rosette, thumb turn, and a lock cylinder escutcheon. The handle measures 10-1/2” tall, 2-3/8” wide, with a 2-1/8″ projection. The doorknob measures 2-1/4″ in diameter and projects 2″; its rosette measures 2-1/4″ in diameter. The mortise faceplate measures 7-3/8″ tall by 1″ wide and the body is 5-1/4″ tall by 3-1/4″ wide with a 2-1/2″ back set.
