Description
A fantastic antique beveled edge eagle rim lock set with its coordinating hardware, made by Russell & Erwin and dating c. 1850. The set is in good antique condition, and includes a rim lock with catch, porcelain knob set with connecting rod, a rosette & keyhole cover, and working skeleton key. The porcelain knob set has an aged finish with original crazing (as pictured). The lock body measures 7-1/2″ tall, 5″ wide, with a 3-3/8″ backset. The coordinating catch measures 7-1/2″ tall, 1-1/2″ wide, and 1″ deep. The knobs measures 2-3/8″ in diameter, and have a 1-3/4″ projection. The rosette measure 2-1/4″ in diameter, and the keyhole is 2-1/2″ tall by 1-3/4″ wide. They keys are 4″ long and 1-7/16″ wide.
