Description
Magnificent antique Empire style chandelier with prisms, dating from the early 1900’s and found in a home in Indiana. This figural two-tone chandelier begins with an understated ceiling canopy, coming down in chain to a loop finial and small platform below. The upper chandelier body features an Empire style canopy of swagged crystal prisms, cascading below to a thick iron band adorned with decorative cut outs. Three arms in the shape of stylized birds curl out from the band out to support two-part bobeches; each bobeche is hung with a curtain of “icicle” prisms. The chandelier continues with another tier of swagged crystal prisms that coalesce to a small cluster of icicle prisms and bottom finial below. This light fixture and its prisms are in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body is approximately 24-1/4″ wide, 39-1/2” tall and 54-1/2″ long overall. This item requires a custom shipping quote; please contact us if you have any questions.
